Allied health professions are careers in the health field that require specialized knowledge and often intensive academic preparation at the undergraduate, masters or doctoral level. Ranked among the top programs in allied health in the country by U.S. News and World Report, VCU’s College of Health Professions is one of only a few institutions in the country that provides education in the major allied health professions. The school has been a pioneer in the development of distance education programs at the University, and offers the only interdisciplinary, internet-based doctoral program in allied health in the country-the Ph.D. Program in Health Related Sciences.
