Abstract

Initially conceived by the University of Pittsburgh Health Sciences Library System in 2013, How-to Talks by Postdocs is a series of instructional brown-bag lunch talks presented by postdocs about how to do something related to the health sciences. These are not seminar talks, but an opportunity for postdocs to hone their science communication skills by informing the public about a topic related to the health sciences.

VCU launched its How-to Talks by Postdocs series in 2015. The quantitative data collected from attendees and postdoc speakers from its 2015-2018 talks are being shared here. The attendee feedback can be downloaded from the main "Download" link, while the postdoc feedback can be downloaded as a supplemental material.
