Abstract

A young Marine officer candidate wakes in a stranger’s London home after a night she cannot fully remember.

Articles, stories, and other compositions in this archive were written by participants in the Mighty Pen Project. The program, developed by author David L. Robbins, and in partnership with Virginia Commonwealth University and the Virginia War Memorial in Richmond, Virginia, offers veterans and their family members a customized twelve-week writing class, free of charge. The program encourages, supports, and assists participants in sharing their stories and experiences of military experience so both writer and audience may benefit.

Author Biography

Anne Boaden is a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps who has served in both the Active and Reserve Components. She deployed to Afghanistan twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as an AH-1W SuperCobra pilot and holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. She is currently working on a memoir.
