A black and white photograph of the performance of "Synthesis I" at the 1965 Bang Arts Festival at the Richmond Professional Institute. Details of the performance can be read in the April 23, 1965 edition of the student newspaper Proscript available here. In the center are two individuals dancing, one wearing a bathing suit and the other a dress shirt and pants. Both wear sunglasses. Other individuals are partially visible in the background. Transcription from back of photograph: "Top Left Photo by Emmet Gowin 1965"
