Poster for the Spring 1965 Bang Arts Festival at Richmond Professional Institute, created by Carol Sutton. The poster features a print of a distorted human head in black ink, the title "Bang 2" or Bang squared in hot pink text, followed by the schedule for the festival. Rainer-Panel: T.B.Hess, L.Rivers, R.Lichtenstein, A.Solomon- Mississippi John Hurt-2nd Film Festival - April 19-26 Gymnasium Full Tickets $5.00 & $7.00" Handwriting on bottom of poster reads: "For Eleanor and Dick Carylon, Carol Martin - April 1965" Sutton shared the following about the poster on her page about the festival here: "One year I designed and silk-screen printed a poster, that had a super enlarged antique print I had found of a baby screaming, at the top of the poster I put large fuchsia pink 19th century carnival wood type with the letters: B A N G. The posters were so popular that they often got taken down as fast as they were put in place."
