Special report: Kings Dominion in the raw -- Inside: Graffitti Please, Graffitti Week is kicked off with a special insert by Lynn May, who went around campus in June and early July with Graffitti sheets. Many people responded to her pleas of "Graffitti Please," but At VCU, good graffitti is hard to find. -- In the News: The Summer Orientation, Advising and registration (SOAR) program was visited by our man Gene Denison the other week. Although he says SOAR serves some useful purposes, he also found a "certain condescending air" about the whole thing. See Did you hear the one about SOAR? -- People to people: Nannie Powell, the little old lady who sells flowers, rain or shine, every day in front of the Chesterfield Apartments once was a teacher. She's now a flower child. Charles McGuigan, in Teacher turns flower lady, provides us with a nice insight into her life.
