Abstract
A collection of six short stories and eight personal essays. The short stories explore the falseness of the moral binary, the expectation of gratitude and “good behavior” put upon women in our society, and the sense of time itself as a character in one’s life. The personal essays mainly follow an unexpected personal shift from the lifelong desire for writerly solitude to the complex dynamics of marriage, stepchildren, and the domestic sphere.
