Abstract
A collection of writing and drawings reflecting on how symbolic systems interface with the messy, embodied experiences of those that participate in, and in so doing, generate them. It imagines subjective psychological spaces such as dreams, art, fantasy fiction, and drawing as technologies necessary for processing materially bound and yet subjective experience. These topics are excerpted from others that orbit the artist’s material studio practice, including their thesis exhibition One Millionth, which, by approaching the room as a diagrammatic space, explored the imaginative possibilities generated by isolating a discrete cast of materials, forms, and images within a room and under a single title.
