Protesters at Grants, Farmville Shopping Center, August 1963. Students carry signs opposing racial segregation, and encouraging shoppers to boycott businesses that support discriminatory practices.

Darwyn White carries a sign that reads "Mr. Grocer: Tell Your Friends, You'll See our Dollars when Segregation Ends!" Protester behind her carries sign reading, "If they don't see money, they'll see the truth. Boycott for Freedom."
