Abstract

Are you new to mentoring research students and need help getting started? This How-to-talk will provide tips on 1) getting to know your potential mentee, 2) goal setting, 3) developing a mentee compact, 4) communication, 5) monitoring mentor-mentee progress, and 6) providing helpful feedback. This talk is for anyone interested in learning more about mentoring students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
