An elaborate brick house with stone dressings, this house dates from around 1900. The elaborate Corinthian porch with fluted columns has deteriorated and the columns have been replaced with square wooden piers.
Original Note (transcribed from book)
Of the streets of Jackson Ward which have been damaged by the construction of the super highway, DuVal Street has been the most damaged. One half of the street was destroyed.
