Physical Details

Hood presented to Dr. William Sanger in concert with the honorary Doctor of Laws degree granted him by the College of William and Mary in 1953. Hood is sewn from heavy fabric. Velvet trim is deep purple, the traditional color assocated with law degrees. The part of the hood worn to the rear is bright green on the outside, with dull white and bright yellow highlights on the interior.
