Physical Details
Dental cabinet with drawers, shelves, and built-in mirror. Woodwork is young mahogany with a thin burl maple veneer. Drawers are close fit to body of cabinet and bowed slightly outward at midsection. The three bottom drawers are lined with chamois and have lots cut to hold specific instruments or instrument types, and the top three are unfinished on the inside. Each drawer has a translucent glass knob at either end and a keyhole in the center. Detailing is vernacular Gothic. Notable decorative features include high style embossed fiddleheads at the juncture of the legs and the main corpus of the piece, grapeleaf detailing at the base and at the head, and sunburst styled etching at the foot. Good condition.
