Physical Details

Elaborately detailed lancet set with four blades. Tall, bronze case is fitted with a hinged latch and the entire surface is intricately engraved with botanical patterns -- grapes, leaves, and flower blossoms. Hatch opens to reveal four slots for lancet blades. Blades are sized to slightly decrement from one to the other. Each blade has a thin tortoise shell guard, to which the lancet blade is attached by a small metal pin which enables the blade to be folded out of the guard. Blade and guard pieces can rotate freely around the pin.
