Physical Details

Binaural stethoscope in two pieces. Earpiece consists of two steel tubes with gutta percha tips for the ear. Each tube has a ribbed steel grip attached to the outside edge nearest to the connection points for the listening end, and the two tubes are connected by a central hinge which is bowed slightly downward. The distal piece is made of two flexible cloth-lined tubes hooked to a central ball and bell. Engraved "Dr. Gammann's Stethoscope."
