Card Text (transcribed from postcard)

The Richmond & Henrico Ry. Co. by the erection of this splendid toll-bridge has united by a level roadway the populous Eastern section of the city (known as 'Church Hill') with its Central or business section. The bridge, in its skilled construction, and excellent materials, is in accord with the most modern engineering ideas. It has a total length of 2800 feet, and at its highest point is 95 feet above the 17 railroad tracts which it spans. This view shows many of the most important and historic buildings in the city, including Monumental and St. Paul's Churches, the City Hall, the Capitol Building, Main Street Depot, etc.
