Card Text (transcribed from postcard)

The Southern is the second largest Railway system in the U.S. and its chief office, for stock holders meetings, is located in Richmond. Its principal passenger depot at Richmond shown in this view, stands within a few hundred yards of Mayo's Bridge, over James River. The waiting room is spacious and well appointed. The view also shows several colored hackmen, supremely 'at east,' awaiting the arrival of a Southern train.
