Card Text (transcribed from postcard)

This magnificent 19 story office building erected in 1912 occupies this former site of the Chamber of Commerce Bldg., which was torn down to make place for it. It was primarily designed for the joint use of the bank whose name it bears and the C. & O. Ry. Co. and the R. F. & P. Ry. Co., and is one of the highest and most modern structures of its kind in the South. Its towering tiers of floors have been arranged into a symmetrical and well proportioned mass by means of four elevations. The interior decorations and appointments of the building are in keeping with its imposing and signified exterior appearance.
