Letter from T. Henry Randall to James W. Allison discussing the Purdy delivery, registers and his visit to Richmond.
Transcription
May 15th 95, James W. Allison, Richmond Va. Dear Sir, Yours of the 14th at hand. The Purdy Co. promised [?] their with yesterday or today. We have written them to know if they have done so. The registers for Music Room, Reception Room, Halls and Bed Rooms should be white enamelled. In living Room and Library bronze. On sheathing bronze or brass would look best, but black [?] registers will [answer?]. Mr. Randall expects to leave here tomorrow night for Baltimore and Washington, and will probably reach Richmond Monday night or Tuesday morning. He will send you word later. We shall probably send certificate tomorrow for the F.J. Newcomb M. F. G. Co. who made the composition caps, brackets, consoles et for exterior + interior of home. Yours truly T.
