For the past 100 years, the Department of Psychiatry at VCU Medical Center has served Virginia and the nation with mental health research, clinical care, teaching and community service. Its internationally recognized units include the Virginia Institute for Psychiatric and Behavioral Genetics, its division of consultation-liaison psychiatry, and the Virginia Treatment Center for Children.
