This reel contains footage of a crowd of approximately 200 individuals gathered outside the Lynchburg Courthouse on March 14, 1967, for the trial of Thomas Carlton Wansley. There is footage of individuals speaking to the crowd as well as uniformed police officers guarding the doors of the courthouse. This appears to be a group of majority Black participants. All uniformed police officers appear to be white.

00:00:13 Footage begins. Footage of a large crowd gathered on the street, filmed from the sidewalk. The camera pans left to show individuals standing on the sidewalk, street, and on the sidewalk on the other side of the street. When the camera pans back to the right, individuals are also gathered on the steps of what appears to be a courthouse building. Several uniformed police officers stand at the top of the stairs.
