Thomas Brigade Hosp[ital] Petersburg Va 15th Oct. 1864 L[evin] S[mith] Joynes M.D. Dear Sir, I will regard it as a grand favor if you will inform me whether or not you have recieved my application, which I forwarded to you a few days since by mail. You will also please forward it to me so soon as the Surg[eo]n Gen[era]l has acted on it. By so doing you will greatly oblige Yours Respectfully W.G. Roberts Hosp[ital] St[eward] 35th Ga Reg[imen]t W.G. Roberts H[ospital] S[teward] Ga Reg[imen]t Oct. 15th 1864 Enquiring into the fate of this applica- tion for a transfer to Richmond. Answered.
