2nd Gerogia Reg[imen]t 29th Oct 1864 Prof[essor] L[evin] S[mith] Joynes, Dear Sir I have just learned that a Hospital Steward in this Division has already obtained permission to attend a course of lectures at your school this winter as I have heard nothing from my application, I write to you to find out for me if it has been acted upon, please give me what assistance you can oblige.
