Inventory of the effects of James H May, Decd, late private in the 38th Regt of Va vols, company D, who died at the Medical College Hospital, Richmond Va July 23rd 1862: Bundle containing 2 shirts, 1 pr drawers, 1 pr drawers, socks, towel, Boots, gloves, pocket Knife, Tobacco, Daguerreotype, portfolio, Vest, Hat, scissors, Haversack, 2 Blankets, over coat Bowie Knife, pocket book containing seven dollars in silver coin, and six dollars and 65 cents in paper money & stamps.
