Abstract
Sexuality has historically been shown to have a relationship to people’s relationship to alcohol, though old research did not offer enough of a randomized sample. Feelings of internalized heterosexism and school climate have been shown to have an effect on these habits. At VCU, using the Spit for Science data, alcohol use and abuse between straight and gay/lesbian students did not show a significant difference. There was an effect for besexual and queer+ students.
