The court house is located in the business section of the city, and its imposing appearance and elegantly constructed interior and exterior are a monument to the civic pride of Shreveport. A splendid memorial, the first ever built in the city, is being erected on its front by the Chapter of the Daughters of the Confederacy commemorative of the valor and heroism of the Southern soldiers in the Civil War.
