Postcard Text

The Court House was built by slaves in 1848, and cost $150,000. While old, it is a handsome structure architecturally. It stands on a commanding eminence in the northern part of the city and is surrounded by a square. This Court House (Warren County) can be seen from all parts of Vicksburg, and is regarded as one of the handsomest public buildings in the South.
