Description
A photographic print of an exhibit entitled "Girl Scouts of Today are Women of Tomorrow." The exhibit is a set made to look like a kitchen, with appliances and a table. Three Girl Scouts in uniform stand around the table making baked goods. A fourth Girl Scout stands over the stove. All individuals appear to be white. "Nov 13 1935" stamped on backside in purple. "CROWDS FOLLOW THEIR DOLLAR AT GIRL SCOUT EXHIBIT – Thronging to the Follow Your Dollar exhibition, sponsored by the Community Fund drive campaigners at the Blues' Armory, are hundreds of Richmonders each day to learn from the allied agencies in the fund what their dollars are spent for. Truly are the Girl Scouts of today the women of tomorrow and just as no one can doubt this organization's character-building value, so do the RIchmonders attending the show learn that each of the other agencies also does excellent work in its special field. As interest in the educational exhibit grows, officials of the coming drive predict the greatest success yet attained in the city. – Staff" newspaper snippet pasted on backside. "GIRL SCOUTS" handwritten on backside.
