Physical Details

Long, ornamented brass pestle with separated contact areas for hand and for compounded material. The distal end of the implement is a heavy bell with a slightly flattened base, which is flared outward from the main shaft of the pestle. A flared block separates the grinding from the handling ends of the implement, and the proximal end has four decarative spherical shapes stacked one on top of the other.
