Physical Details

Davis & Kidder's Patent Magneto-Electric Machine in a wooden case. Case contains brass and metal markings, and a large, horseshoe shaped metal magnet, connected to a brass rectangular frame. Frame has two large gear wheels, and two felt-covered spools that are rotated by turning the wheels with an ivory and brass handle. Inside of the case has a label and instructions. Two metal cylinders with metallic cards fit into opposite sides of the case. Quack instrument used "in the treatment of nervous diseases."
