This Christian Institution of learning, chartered in 1896, is under the control of the American Baptist Home Mission Society. Its object is the moral and intellectual uplift of Afro-Americans. Its handsome buildings of Virginia Granite are surrounded by well kept ample grounds. Located near Brook Turnpike.
