Erected in 1785, owned and occupied by Richmond Randolph Lodge No. 19, A.F. & A.M. is the first edifice ever built in the United States exclusively for Masonic purposes. The records of this Lodge show that John Marshall, Gen'l Lafayette, together, with many other statesmen, soldiers and citizens of international renown have attended to its stated communications.'
