Card Text (transcribed from postcard)

This splendid edifice, erected at a cost of over $300,000. was the gift of Thomas F. Ryan. It was consecrated in the Fall of 1906 with impressive ceremonies. Situated in the heart of the residential section, overlooking Monroe Park, its symmetrical columns, graceful towers, and lofty dome command general admiration. In the rear of the building, and connected with it by a cloistered walk, is the episcopal residence of the Bishop of the Diocese of Virginia.
