Card Text (transcribed from postcard)

Among the most respectable of 'Modern Antiquities in point of age and appearance, of which Richmond can boast, is the old one-story stone house, which dates from (probably) 1743. Tradition will have it that General Washington during the Revolutionary War, made it his headquarters upon one occasion. It is now employed as a private museum, where relics and souvenirs may be purchased.
