Reel Description
This film reel contains footage of people and events in and around Richmond including:
- Automobiles parked on the side of a wooded road
- A lake filmed from the shore, likely Shields Lake in Byrd Park, with individuals swimming and boating
- Individuals using a diving board at the lake
- Three individduals in bathing suits standing outdoors in from of a residential house next to a clothesline, being sprayed with a hose
- The same three individuals sitting on porch steps, with another adult individuals holding an infant on the porch
- Two of the individuals stand next to the clothesline, one holds the other in their arms
- Three of the same individuals sit in front of items on the clothesline, the two from the previous footage kiss
- Individuals using the diving board at the lake
- Individuals walking on the lakeshore, swimming and boating in the water
- Five individuals in a row boat, including children. One individual rows while the others stand and eventually dive into the water
- Individuals, including children, using the diving board and diving into the lake from the shore
- Individuals climbing onto and jumping off a floating dock
- Individuals playing with some sort of flotation device
- A swimming first aid demonstration at the lakeside
- A crowd on the dock near a large body of water, with boats and large ships at the dock and in the distance. Potentially int he Norfolk region, some individuals on boats appear to wear Navy uniforms
- A zeppelin in the sky filmed from the ground
- A marching band on a field with observers in the stands, appears to be a military field parade which includes a field drill, as well as individuals on horseback and driving automobiles and motorcycles
