This film reel contains footage of people and events in and around Richmond including:

  • Four young individuals playing with a dog, wearing winter clothing with snow on the ground
  • A parade around the Matthew Fontaine Maury Monument in Monument Avenue and Belmont Avenue. This was likely the dedication of the statue, held on November 11, 1929. The parade includes marching bands, individuals in automobiles and on motorcycles, individuals on horseback, individuals in horse drawn carriages, and individuals carrying flags, including United States of America flags.
