Guidelines for Authors
Author(s) must create a Scholars Compass account to make a submission. Journal of Mathematics and Science: Collaborative Explorations uses a double blind review process so every effort should be made to ensure that submission material does not contain information about the identity of the author(s). Do not include a title page with author(s) name, affiliation, email contact, abstract, and key words with your manuscript. This information is captured in Steps 2 through 4 of the online submission process. Information in text, citations, references, or notes that would identify the author(s) should be masked from the manuscript file. These can be reinserted in the final draft.
Following preliminary review by the editor, manuscripts will either be forwarded to reviewers or rejected. Manuscripts will be reviewed by at least two reviewers including at least one member of the Journal of Mathematics and Science: Collaborative Explorations Editorial Board. After the initial review, the author(s) will be contacted as to whether the submitted manuscript is: accepted; accepted with minor revisions; major revisions needed/resubmit; or rejected. Articles approved for publication will be sent to the author for final approval prior to publishing.
Guidelines for Reviewers
Reviewers must create an account in Scholars Compass to access articles. All submissions are subject to a double-blind peer review process in which no fewer than two reviewers assess the merit of the manuscript. Each reviewer is asked to return evaluations within 21 days of receipt. Reviews are completed using a rubric that includes a section for comments to the editor and comments to the author(s).
